The Cookie Monstah is set to open a seventh bake shop in Reading at Jordan’s Furniture on June 19. Offered daily will be nearly 15 of Boston’s best Cookies with their motto ā€œFresh Batch, From Scratchā€ where each batch is mixed in the morning and baked as needed.  Also served will be their signature Cookie Monstah sandwiches (select two fresh-baked cookies and one ice cream flavor), Quakes (frappe with a cookie blended), Cookie n’ Cream(choice of one cookie and ice cream), cups of ice cream, floats, and an Iced Tea Crusher. Located at 50 Walkers Brook Drive inside Jordan’s Furniture, the Cookie Monstah store hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday to Thursday; 10 a.m – 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday.

As we are taking over the former Richardson’s space it’s a natural choice location as we’ve exclusively used Richardson’s ice cream since starting in 2012. Our family cookie business melds well with Jordan’s philosophy and reach. We have a lot of ā€œMonstahā€ fans in the area.

founder/owner Melissa Gale

Exclusive to the Jordan’s location is The Eliot ā€“ cherry vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two double chocolate cookies, custom-created by Eliot Tatelman, President of Jordan’s Furniture. With the sale of each Eliot, 20% of proceeds from the combo will be donated to the Jordan’s Charitable Foundation.  ā€œI love cookies and I love ice cream. Put them together and it doesn’t get any better! We are thrilled and excited for the new partnership with Cookie Monstah. They will be a great addition at our Reading store, making the Jordan’s experience even sweeter,ā€ said Jordan’s President Eliot Tatelman.

Along with the perennial favorite Chocolate Chunk cookie, a variety of 12 to 15 cookies will be offered daily. Selections include but not limited:  Birthday Cake; Brookie; M&M; Double Chocolate; Oatmeal Coconut Chocolate Chip; Oatmeal Raisin; Peanut Butter; Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip; Red Velvet; Reese’s Double Chocolate; S’Mores; Snickerdoodle; Salted Caramel;  and Sugared Sugar.  Each cookie is $3.5, $17 for a six-pack or $29 for a dozen.

The Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches menu is only limited by the imagination and includes any flavor ice cream sandwiched by two cookies.  Each bake shop offers a suggestion of a dozen combinations and can include but are not limited to: The Big Stuffah, Oreo stuffed chocolate chunk cookies with cookie dough ice cream; The Campfire, S’mores chocolate chunk cookies with Milky Way ice cream; The Candy Shoppe, M&M cookies with Milky Way ice cream; The Classic, chocolate chunk cookie with vanilla ice cream; The Cookie Monstah, birthday cake cookies with Crunch-a-saurus ice cream; The Cup-o-Joe, double chocolate cookies with coffee Oreo ice cream; The Green Monstah, chocolate chunk cookie with mint Oreo ice cream; Ma’s Blueberry Pie, Snickerdoodle cookies with blueberry pie ice cream; The Nor’Easter, red velvet cookies with chocolate ice cream; The PB&J, peanut butter cookies with strawberry ice cream; or The Salty Dog, salted caramel cookies with totally turtle ice cream.  Price per cookie sandwich is $7.

Founded in 2012 by Melissa Gale, The Cookie Monstah is a ā€œfresh batch, from scratchā€ locally family owned and operated company. What started as one cookie truck, has expanded to a fleet of seven trucks and seven Bake Shops located in Danvers, Burlington, Swampscott, Needham, Beverly, North Andover and Reading. Another shop in Newtonville will open in the fall. The Cookie Monstah trucks can be rented out for corporate events and social parties and are found throughout Boston at The Greenway Carousel or Dewey Square from April through November.  For additional information visit www.thecookiemonstah.com or contact info@thecookiemonstah.com.
