The Residence at Pearl Street hosted their very first “Our Town, Our Neighbors” event, a series designed to connect with local businesses in town.

Their first event was with Bruce Johnson, owner of Lee Kimball, a design-build family-owned company out of Reading that has been transforming homes for over 85 years. Bruce shared the company’s journey, which began with 1940s kitchen and bath remodels to the modern-day home additions they build today.

For residents, this presentation sparked many wonderful memories of their own home renovations over the years. One resident, Bill, shared that he actually built his entire Reading home from the ground up, which was a special story.

Our residents loved reminiscing about the hands-on projects, renovations, and upgrades they tackled in their own homes over the years,” said Beverly Curry, Resident Engagement Director at The Residence at Pearl Street. “They were so impressed with the before and after photos of jobs Lee Kimball presented.”

This series helps keep the Reading community connected to the town’s history and trades that make it such an incredible place to live.
