“Approval cited as consistent with zoning standards, as new business replaces longtime Atlantic Framing Co.“
The Community Planning and Development Commission (CPDC) unanimously approved a proposed business sign for Face Haven Aesthetics at 78 Haven Street during its May 11th meeting.
The application, presented by Juan D. Jaramillo alongside Community Development Director Andrew MacNichol, outlined plans for an 8-foot by 3-foot wall-mounted sign constructed of PVC and aluminum composite material (ACM) with a gold finish.

The sign will mark the arrival of Face Haven Aesthetics at the site of the former Atlantic Framing Co., a longtime Haven Street business and local fixture.

The applicant confirmed that the sign would not include internal or external illumination, a point commissioners specifically clarified during their review.
Board members agreed the design was consistent with zoning requirements and aligned with the style and scale of surrounding storefront signage. Members also noted that any future window signage would not require a separate board approval, though it would be subject to administrative review and standard coverage limits.
With no objections or concerns raised, the commission voted 4–0 to approve the sign as presented, with members Clish, Armstrong, Mateev, and Manganiello all voting in favor.
The approval clears the way for the applicant to proceed with permitting and installation.
