Dear Editor,
Over the last month, an anonymous website has surfaced to attack Karen Herrick while she runs for re-election. Two current Select Board members have publicly promoted this website (source link https://voterspotlight.com) on a number of occasions.
We already know there is dysfunction on our board and this behavior creates more drama and distrust. There are three hardworking residents running for two open seats, aside from the board member who has enthusiastically pushed clicks to this attack website. I’m supporting Karen Herrick and Tony D’Arezzo. No one is perfect and ALL current members need to work on improving the tone on the board. I hope Reading sends a clear message at the polls that anonymous pages around local government will not be tolerated by residents.
Please vote on or before April 7. Let’s take a step toward restoring calm and civility to the Select Board and get things moving in the right direction.
