Today, Saturday May 10th, is Household Hazardous Waste Day. From 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the DPW Garage, 75 Newcrossing Rd. TV’s and CRT’s are not collected at this event. A complete list of what is and what not is accepted is below. NEXT SATURDAY is the event for recycling your old trash and recycling containers. Leave at home:
- Asbestos, ammunition, pharmaceuticals
- biologically active, radioactive, or explosive materials
- latex paint (let dry and put out with weekly trash pickup)
- lithium batteries
- garbage (will be taken during regular weekly trash pickup)
- septage (must be removed by a licensed hauler)
