Get ready to cheer! Reading is sending an incredible 21 residents to crush the 129th Boston Marathon today, nearly doubling last year’s 12 runners! Leading the pack is 22-year-old Jacqueline O’Neill, with 76-year-old Stephen Viegas proving age is just a number. The complete list is below. Let’s go, Reading!

Stephen Viegas happens to be our office neighbor down the hall at 2 Haven Street where he runs his solo law practice. He’s been an attorney for over 49 years, of which 38 have been in Reading. He and his wife Susan just recently celebrated their 49th year of marriage and this will be his 6th Boston Marathon.

If you want to catch Stephen, wearing bib number 25649 or any of the other Reading runners, they will all be leaving Hopkinton around 10:00 AM today. The complete list is below.

Best of luck to you all!

I have a question about the new recycle and trash barrels. Can you throw out dirty baby diapers in the trash?

    Thanks,
