Happening now until August 25th is a pet “adoption event” at Empower located at 190 Haven Street. Nana’s Tea Time Treats has a pop up shop located inside, in which folks can come adopt a stuffed animal puppy or kitten for $15 and 100% off the proceeds will be donated to The Luving Paws Foundation in Puerto Rico. They run a sanctuary for the homeless dogs, called Bori dogs of PR. They also find adopters for these animals. While inside, there are complimentary treats for your pets!

This is a fun, cute opportunity for kids to come, “adopt” an animal, purchase a kid size drink. Grownups can get protein coffees, shakes, healthy drinks. There is a large screen tv, typically playing Disney movies. Free Nana’s Tea Time Treats at the register. Tons of cafe tables and chairs for older kids to hang out, do homework and wicker swing chairs. So many gorgeous spots to hold a meeting, meet up with friends, read a book, or get some work done. I have been going for a few months and have lost 8 pounds!
