The Reading Pickleball Players Association’s (RPPA) Fundraising Kickoff, sponsored by SNL Sports Academy, was this past Saturday at the Reading High School Hawkes Field House. The RPPA was raising funds for more/improved courts in Reading. Below is our video from their sold out inaugural event at RMHS.
Additionally, the Recreation Committee meeting that was held on Monday March 13th after the event, tabled both Washington Park and Sturges as potential pickleball locations due to noise issues. It was noted that the Rec Committee will continue explore other avenues for pickleball in Reading. The RPPA also mentioned it’s first priority is to be good neighbors and also will continue their efforts.
