UPDATE 2:05PM Cobblestone area in front of CVS is opening back up..
UPDATE 1:37PM Reading Square is scheduled to start opening back up. Cobblestone areas will remain blocked off. All traffic signals are operational.
UPDATE 12:45PM RMLD is shutting the power off to 743 Main Street, 83 Harnden Street and 6 Salem Street.
UPDATE 12:19PM Reading Square will remain closed until the find and resolve the electrical arcing issues.
Due to Police, Fire and RMLD activity in Reading Square, we are asking all residents to avoid the downtown area and seek alternate routes of travel. Some buildings are currently without power and may be closed for the day. Please contact them before heading to the square. RMLD is working on the issue and will restore power as soon as possible.
