Town Clerk, Laura Gemme, has provided a fifth update for all of the open seats in the April 4, 2023 election. We will provide updates every Thursday until the ballot is finalized as nomination papers are not official until returned and certified by the Town Clerk and Board of Registrars.

*14 new nomination papers were taken out this week, including 2 for the Board of Library Trustees. Newcomers Brian Curry and Michael Terry now join Christian Cappy Popp and Monette Dugas Verrier for the two available 3-year library seats. Only 2 candidates had their signatures certified this week and 61 individuals have not yet returned their nomination papers with a deadline of 5PM on February 14th.

*Matthew James Sullivan of Abigail Way, did not make the cut to be officially withdrawn from Select Board prior to the latest update. Citing lack of communication to his family, he requested to be withdrawn the same day but his request needed to be in writing. We will update this article if that update does indeed come from Town Hall.

-Update- 10:50PM, Laura Gemme has sent a revised update with Matt Sullivan’s withdrawal being official.
