Spring is in the air and that means it’s time to think about mulch! We are pleased to announce that the 2026 FoRS Mulch Fundraiser is now officially open. You can order securely at our website – www.readingscouting.org.

This year marks our fourth annual Friends of Reading Scouting (FoRS) Mulch fundraiser. Last year we raised over $1,700 to support Scouting in Reading. 100% of funds raised are used to defray the costs of Scouting activities, including Cub Pack and Scout Troop programs, summer camp, monthly campouts, and other programming for Scouts here in Reading. Your support will help to ensure the participation of those who may not be fortunate enough to do so otherwise.

The sale includes bulk mulch with a minimum order of 2 yards. There is a delivery charge of

$35 for a 2-yard mulch delivery, with no delivery charge for 3 yards of mulch or more. Delivery is calculated per type of mulch and will be delivered to your driveway. We are pleased to continue our partnership with a local vendor, Russell Farms, as our bulk mulch supplier.

We are also pleased to announce that pricing remains the same as last year. Bulk mulch is priced at $62 per yard except for Dark Bark, which is $64 per yard. Playground chips and screened loam are available as well. Bulk orders will be accepted through June 30, 2026. Sale of Loam is also available on the website with different pricing and delivery options.

Any questions please feel free to contact our mulch sale chair at fundraising@readingscouting.org. Thanks in advance for your continued support of scouting in Reading!

The Friends of Reading Scouting is a group of parent volunteers and trained Scout Leaders committed to providing high quality Scouting for families and youth. You can find more information, find a Pack or Troop to join or support local Scouting at our website, www.readingscouting.org.
