Hi RPS Community,
As you may know, Dr. Milaschewski will be leaving his role as Superintendent of the Reading Public Schools at the end of the school year, and the district is currently conducting a search for the next Superintendent. At tonightβs School Committee meeting, four finalists were announced, and their resumes can be found here.
As we move into the final phase, we are offering opportunities for the community to engage with the finalists over the coming weeks. We invite you to participate in stakeholder sessions, which will provide an opportunity to connect directly with the candidates and share your perspectives on the future leadership of the district.
Sessions will be held on the following dates from 5:15β6:00 PM and will be offered in a hybrid format, either in the Central Office Conference Room or remotely via Zoom:

Instructional leader with over 25 years of experience as Head of School, Superintendent, and Teacher, serving students and families across three school districts and two states. Experienced PK-12 educational leader with a proven track record of urban school/district turnaround work. Successfully led innovative public/private partnerships, arts/STEAM/project-based learning, and large-scale academic and instructional change processes. A strategic thinker with a steadfast commitment to excellence and advocacy for all students. Able to unify and engage diverse school communities in progressive, macro-level change rooted in equity and supported by well-researched best practices that promote high-quality teaching and learning and safe and welcoming schools throughout the district. - March 25: Henry Turner (Zoom Link; 897 8205 3631)Β
Strategic and equity-centered educational leader with nearly 20 years of Massachusetts public school experience, including 14 years as a principal in high-performing districts. Equity focused educational leader with 27+ years of experience including nearly 10 years as a high school principal. Expertise in building high- performing operational and instructional teams and utilizing data to drive strategic decisions that enhance student outcomes and place students at the center of the work. Strong skills in communication, problem-solving and creating community partnerships.
