Hello, I’m Carlo Bacci, and I’m running for reelection to the Reading Select Board with unwavering pride and determination.

We have faced tough challenges together—and we have delivered powerful, lasting victories for our town.

In my current term, we stood united as a community and achieved results that truly protect and strengthen Reading.

We decisively defeated the proposed MBTA turnback track.

Residents spoke with one voice: we support regional transportation, but never at the expense of our neighborhoods, conservation land, or quality of life. Through fierce advocacy, strong collaboration with our state delegation, and relentless engagement, we overturned that proposal. This was a resounding win that proved what happens when local leadership listens, organizes, and fights uncompromisingly for its residents.

We invested in our community right here at home.

The Reading Center for Active Living—ReCAL – This modern, inviting space is designed primarily for seniors to connect, pursue wellness, and enjoy vibrant community programming, yet it remains open and accessible to residents of all ages. This long-awaited priority is now a reality because we listened, planned, and made it happen.

The brand-new Killam School was long overdue. Having sent my own three daughters there when they were young, I saw firsthand how little had changed in the building’s condition over the decades—until now. This much-needed upgrade became a reality because thanks to the voices of families and our commitment to getting it done.

We expanded opportunities for everyone to stay active and connected.

New pickleball courts and additional recreational improvements enrich life for seniors while bringing residents of all ages together in healthy, joyful ways that strengthen our community bonds.

We protected our financial future with strict fiscal responsibility.

I know rising costs hit every household hard. That is why we budgeted with precision—balancing essential progress with long-term stability. Smart, disciplined choices today secure Reading’s tomorrow.

We advanced thoughtful development that grows our tax base, supports local businesses, and preserves the unique character and charm that make Reading special.

We made local government more transparent, accessible, and responsive to you.

I’m running for reelection because our work is far from finished.

We must continue planning wisely, championing our schools and public safety, upgrading infrastructure, and ensuring Reading remains an exceptional place where families flourish, seniors thrive, and businesses succeed.

I’m deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished together: safeguarding neighborhoods, launching senior services, and creating new ways for all of us to stay active and connected.

With your vote, I will keep serving with integrity, thorough preparation, and an absolute commitment to putting Reading first.

I respectfully ask for your support on or before April 7th. Early voting begins March 28th at Town Hall.
