A Beloved Everett Institution Finds a New Home in Reading
A new chapter begins for an iconic Massachusetts eatery asĀ DiBlasiāsĀ prepares to open its latest location atĀ 42 High Street in Reading this spring. Known for its warm hospitality and hearty meals, the new spot promises to be more than just a restaurantāitās designed as a vibrant community hub where friends and families can gather.
This Reading location is anĀ offshoot of the legendary DiBlasiās Subs in Everett, a destination that has been serving pizza and subs sinceĀ 1952. For generations, DiBlasiās has earned a reputation for quality and tradition, using only the freshest ingredients purchased daily. Their handmade classicsāhomemade chicken and veal cutlets, meatballs, eggplant, and shaved steak for their signature steak subsāhave stood the test of time and remain unmatched.
The new restaurant will occupy the space formerly home toĀ Green Tomato and Nick’s dry cleaning business, transforming it into a larger, more modern welcoming setting for sit-down dining and fun drinks.

At the heart of the new venture is chef Greg Maganzini, whose mission is simple: āFeed the peopleāand find joy in doing it.ā Inspired by his roots in Italyās Trentino region, Maganzini blends tradition with creativity, offering a menu that celebrates wholesome comfort food with a modern twist. The restaurantās logo, featuring the Dolomite mountains, pays tribute to those roots and symbolizes strength, hospitality, and togetherness.
DiBlasiās Reading will offerĀ fast, warm meals for familiesĀ and aĀ sit-down dining experienceĀ complete with fun drinks in a welcoming, modern setting. The team hopes to create a space where old friends reconnect and new ones are madeāa true neighborhood gathering spot.
