via the RPD – The Reading Police Department will once again try enforcing the all-night parking ban only when snow is predicted except for the Downtown Business District.
If snow is predicted, the Police Department and Town will post on social media and the website that parking overnight is prohibited. Any cars on the street are subject to being ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
All town-owned municipal lots and any regulated streets in the Downtown Business District will continue to be enforced regardless of whether snow is predicted or not. Please see the attached map.
Residents with a residential parking sticker may park at the designated lot at the depot on Lincoln Street. On the attached map the black arrow denotes the overnight parking lot exception.
If you have questions please email us at Parking@readingma.gov
We hope we did not just jinx us all with snow filled winter…
Below is a video we made to show the Lincoln Street lot area that is allowed for overnight parking that the Reading Police Department referenced.
