Creative Arts is celebrating its 3rd Annual PumpkinFest Family Festival and Fundraiser on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 5:00-7:00 pm at Creative Arts, 25 Woburn Street in Reading. Pumpkinfest is free and open to the public regardless of the weather. All are welcome!

Creative Arts invites family and friends from the Reading community, its surrounding towns and communities to this exciting event. There will be Halloween and Fall themed activities, games, and events, such as Halloween Arts & Crafts, Face Painting, a Best Halloween Costume Contest, Best Pumpkin Contest (carved or decorated), DJ Jacob and Live Music and Food! More information can be found on our website.

We will be doing our Pumpkinfest Raffle where you can purchase raffle tickets for a selection of baskets and gifts. We are still finalizing prizes, but last year’s prizes included Boston Celtics tickets, Whitelam Books, the Umbrella Stage Company and Gloucester Stage Company theater tickets, The Chocolate Truffle, Cupcake City, Everything But The Dog, and more!

The Best Pumpkin contestants can drop off their entries to the Creative Arts office any time Friday, October 24, or on Saturday, October 25 before 5:00 pm. PLEASE NO CANDLES. We will provide LED lights. All pumpkins will be on display outside in our Jack O’Lantern Pumpkin Patch under the Big Sanborn Street Tree. The winner will be announced at 6:30 during the event.

The Halloween Costume Parade will take place in the Guild Theater at approximately 6:30 pm (adult, teen, child categories). All contestants are encouraged to be creative, spooky, over-the-top, thematic, artistic, but mostly, to have fun! Winners will be announced at the event. .

Local businesses, clubs, families, schools, and organizations are encouraged to participate in any of the following ways:

1) Pumpkinfest Palooza Raffle: Create and donate a pumpkin or fall themed raffle basket or prize. The more creative the better! Great add-ons include gift cards, candy, books, etc. (tax deductible).

2) Sponsorship: Become a PumpkinFest Sponsor with your tax-deductible donation: Silver $100; Gold $250; Platinum $500
