The Reading Lions Club and the Friends of Reading Recreation Journey for Sight 5K and 1 Mile Walk, was this past Thursday. A cherished community tradition going on 40 years that brings families together for a great cause. Held in the heart of Reading at Memorial Park, this annual event raises funds for the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund (MLERF) and other local sight-related charities. Thanks to the incredible support of it’s participants and sponsors, the Club has now contributed over $336,000 to MLERF, supporting groundbreaking research at institutions like Mass. Eye and Ear in Boston.
