PEABODY, Mass. (Jan. 22, 2025) – Bridgewell, a nonprofit social and human services organization serving northeastern Massachusetts, today announced the appointment of Ginette Wilson Bishop as Director of Behavioral Supports.

“Ginette is skilled at supporting individuals across the lifespan and has dedicated much of her career to helping people with life challenges achieve their highest quality of life and personal growth,” said Bridgewell President and CEO Christopher Tuttle.  “Her experience and background have prepared her to effectively lead our behavioral support programs.”

Bishop will oversee behavioral supports for all of Bridgewell’s day habilitation and residential programs, providing comprehensive treatment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including those with co-occurring mental illness.  Services include outpatient treatment, medication management, counseling, education, evaluation and other support programs.  She will also supervise Bridgewell’s Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, Behavior Specialists, and Registered Behavioral Technicians to ensure the highest level of care.

Before joining Bridgewell, Bishop served for nearly a decade as Executive Director of Advances Learning Center (now part of LEARN Behavioral), a provider for children and adults with IDD in the Greater Boston area.  In her role, she provided oversight of clinical leadership, ensuring that Behavior Analysts delivered consistent, high-quality clinical services, and developed and communicated effective clinical policies.

A resident of Reading, Bishop holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from the University of Ottawa, as well as a master’s degree in education and a doctorate in behavior analysis from Simmons University.
