Chris Haley and I have noticed the feedback online about the new parking kiosks and want to help reduce some of the stress for businesses. We also want to show residents and consumers how easy it is to use the kiosks, either directly at the kiosks or through the app. This Friday, October 4th, from 8 am to 5 pm, we will be available all day in the CVS parking area to educate everyone on how to use the kiosks. Additionally, we will cover parking costs at that lot for up to 4 hours for anyone who comes down to shop at our fantastic small businesses. We will also match every hour parked, up to 4 hours, with a donation to the Reading Food Pantry. We recognize that change can be challenging, but we hope that this injection of positivity is a significant first step in increasing awareness, all while raising money for a good cause.
