The Reading Board of Health will conduct a Public Hearing on May 23, 2024, at 7:00 PM, at Reading Town Hall Selectboard Room, 16 Lowell Street, First Floor, Reading MA, 01867. This Public Hearing will be on Amendments to the regulation of the Reading Board of Health, Restricting the Sale of Tobacco Product, relative to:
“Prohibition of Sales – No person, firm, corporation, establishment, or agency shall sell tobacco or e-cigarette products to anyone born on or after January 1, 2004.
Any person, firm, corporation, establishment, or agency who or which shall violate any provisions of this regulation and upon written notification shall be fined and suspended in accordance with the schedule set forth under the Regulation of the Reading Board of Health Restricting the Sale of Tobacco Products.”

Prior to May 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM, persons may submit written commentary to the Reading Board of Health, Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street, First Floor, Reading, 01867, Attention: Ade Solarin, or by email at: asolarin@ci.reading.ma.us.
Following the public hearing, the Reading Board of Health will take up the consideration of the proposed amendments for purposes of adoption at the next scheduled Board of Health meeting.
While considering the proposed amendments for adoption, the Reading Board of Health may modify or revise the proposed amendments.
