The Select Board will be meeting tonight at 7:30pm in the Select Board meeting room at Town Hall. The board will be interviewing Resident-At-Large Candidates for Town Manager Screening Committee outlined below, with up to two candidates selected. Previously, the board voted on having Town Moderator Alan Foulds, Select Board members Jackie McCarthy and Mark Dockser, Police Chief David Clark, and Library Director Amy Lannon serve on the 7 member committee.

Two years ago, the Select Board interviewed over 40 candidates for the screening committee, resulting in Emily Sisson and Christopher Feudo being selected. This year, only 14 of those named above made the final cut as a handful of residents withdrew beforehand. The board anticipates having a new Town Manager in place around March of 2024 as Fidel Maltez’s final day in Reading is December 31, 2023.
The 7:30PM meeting will take place in the Select Board meeting room at Town Hall.
