Located at 489 Main Street, the old Drew’s Stews location, is delSur Empanadas. Today was their grand opening and we stopped by to record some footage, and of course, try out the food. Owners Sebastian Corbat and his wife Angelica co-founded delSur back in 2014 and moved into their Reading location back in July. After attending the Fall Street Faire and various other Reading events over the past couple months, renovations are now complete and they are open to the public.
We ended up getting the beef empanadas and they were incredible. We also picked up some gift cards for the tree we’re providing to the Festival of Trees event this Saturday, so be sure to check that out as well. delSur is open Monday – Friday from 11AM- 5PM but plan to be open later hours and weekends once they get additional staffing trained and up to speed.
