We’re so excited to share an entire week of Café Conversations starting today! We sent out invites to all 11 candidates running for elected office (non town meeting) in the upcoming April 4th local election. We are thrilled to be having 8 of those voices heard throughout the week. All the candidates that were interviewed were asked the same set of identical questions (not provided in advance) with the following criteria:

The anticipated time required is only about 5-10 minutes. There will not be any political questions, campaign speeches nor any “gotcha” type questions. The location will be Half & Half in Reading and I can accommodate anytime between 1-2:30PM during the week work. This time frame is preferred as the restaurant is at closing time and we won’t impact the patrons. If you are unable to make that time work, I will do my best to work something out with Isaac to accommodate.

In Reading we have well over 100 volunteers running for office, which is absolutely incredible. We’re happy to provide a section for all candidates to submit information, for you the reader, to make an informed decision about voting. To check out our election page, please visit https://www.readingrecap.com/elections. There’s only so much you can fit into 80 words, so please do your own independent research and reach out to your precinct members directly as well as the other candidates running for office as well.

Without further adieu, kicking things off is Alan Foulds of Ide Street who is running for his 26th term as Town Moderator. Here are 5 Questions in Under 5 minutes with Alan Foulds.
