Earlier today, Reading Memorial lost a hard fought battle against the Xaverian Brothers that needed to go into overtime to see the winner moving on to the TD Garden vs Pope Francis. Xaverian Brothers came out flying in the first period but Reading weathered the storm and eventually ended up with more shots on goal throughout the 3rd period.
In the closing minutes of the 3rd period, the Rockets defense held up and forced the game into overtime. Unfortunately for the Rockets, the game winner in overtime came from #12 Joe DiMartino, that sent the Xaverian Brothers moving on to the finale via a 1-0 score.
While not the result we all hoped for, Reading fought hard all season and left it all out on the ice in what would be their final game of the season.
