Hello Reading Community,

We hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer!  As we finalize our preparations for the opening of schools, we are reaching out for your support in helping us fill vacant positions.  While we are fortunate that we are currently well-staffed in RPS, particularly in the context of national staffing shortages, we do still have several food service worker and paraprofessional vacancies that are critical for our schools.  We are hoping that you can share these vacancies with those in your networks and encourage them to consider joining our RPS team.  Anyone with interest can reach out directly to our Human Resources Department at [email protected] or [email protected]. 

Last year, we asked our Reading community for support in helping us to fill a major need with substitute teachers.  We were appreciative that many members of our community either offered to serve as substitute teachers or supported us in finding other potential candidates.  We thank you in advance for your support in ensuring that we are fully staffed to start the year.
