The Killam School Building Committee (KSBC) met on 9-19-22 at 6 PM in the Select Board Meeting room at Town Hall as well as on Zoom. The KSBC moved quickly through the agenda, all voting in favor of approving the Killam Warrant Article, motion and introduction for inclusion into the November Town Meeting Warrant. The School Committee voted at their September 15th meeting to approve and formally submit these materials for inclusion in the warrant.
The KSBC is extending an invitation to all Town Meeting Members (TMM) to tour Killam elementary school. The committee is hoping to provide TMM a view of the existing condition of the school while hearing about programmatic challenges that the staff encounters during the school day. Tours will be given when students are not in school and a variety of days and times were offered to accommodate all schedules. All Town Meeting Members are urged to attend one of the sessions. Information in each session will be the same so it is only necessary to attend one session.
The Town Manager shared the 3 dates for Killam School tours for Town Meeting Members. The tour dates/times are:
Wednesday, October 26th at 6:00 PM
Friday, November 4th at 1:00 PM
Saturday, November 5th at 8:00 AM
The next KSBC will meet on Monday, October 17th at 6:00 PM in the Select Board Meeting room at Town Hall. Participating virtually will be an option as well.
