Because of our incredible community and volunteers, Dunk the Readings at the Fall Street Faire, was able to raise a grand total of $1704 split between the Reading Rotary and the owners of Ruff N’ Ready Dog Grooming. After my public comment at the School Committee meeting, a generous donor once again came forward and raised the amount to $2001, exceeding our last year’s total!
I went and visited Liliana today at her shop and want you all to know that we literally made a difference someone’s life. Her and her husband Paul could not express how much this meant to them and their ability to keep on doing what they love. They used to handle 8-9 dogs a day and now they are reduced to 3. Liliana has another 6 months of physical therapy to go before things change and this donation as well as all the others will help them immensely.
