Reading’s 6th annual Pride Parade and Celebration is today, Saturday June 6th, starting at 3:00PM. The car parade begins in the Town Hall parking lot followed by the 3:30PM celebration on the Town Common. There will be games, prizes, and speakers to celebrate Pride in Reading.
The Select Board voted at their last meeting to adopt a Pride Month resolution recognizing June as a time to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community.
During a brief discussion, board members expressed support for the resolution’s message of inclusion and affirmed the town’s commitment to welcoming all residents.
The measure was approved without extended debate, with members noting the importance of formally acknowledging Pride Month and promoting a sense of belonging within the community.
