Local legislator has now been recorded on 8,154 consecutive votes

House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. (R-North Reading) continued to maintain a perfect voting record during the first half of the 2025-2026 legislative session, participating in all 116 roll call votes recorded in the House of Representatives between February 6, 2025, and November 19, 2025.

Representative Jones has never missed a roll call vote as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. His current unbroken streak of consecutive roll call votes cast now stands at 8,154.

It is truly an honor for me to serve the residents of Lynnfield, Middleton, North Reading and Reading as their elected representative on Beacon Hill,” said Jones. “My voting record reflects my ongoing commitment to making sure my constituents’ voices are heard on each and every policy matter that comes before the Legislature.”

Jones cast votes on several major policy initiatives in 2025, including legislation requiring human trafficking awareness training for hospitality workers; providing $234 million in one-time financial support for fiscally strained hospitals and community health centers; and implementing a formal licensing process for home care agencies operating in Massachusetts to help protect vulnerable clients receiving services. He also backed legislation to: address workplace violence in the health care industry through mandatory training and enhanced reporting requirements; improve communication and coordination among state agencies working with the families of children in foster care or receiving state services; and remove outdated and offensive language used to describe individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities from the General Laws.

Jones also co-sponsored legislation to protect public transit workers from assaults on the job by establishing enhanced penalties and a new crime of assault and battery by means of a bodily substance. The bill passed the House on a unanimous vote and was signed into law on December 12 as Chapter 79 of the Acts of 2025.
