Here we are, Readingāanother year wrapped up! We’ve tallied over 250,000 views on ReadingRecap.com in 2025 alone, and absolutely shattered the milestone with more than 1.1 million views on Facebook.
None of this would be possible without you, our loyal readers who return day after day, or without the amazing volunteers who generously give their time and energy to help make a real difference in the town we all love and call home.

In just three short years since launching this site, we’ve made remarkable progress in delivering strictly Reading-focused news, events, and meeting coverage to keep residents informed.
From live-streaming nearly every town event this year to providing detailed recaps of every broadcast meeting through our innovative AI Recap articles, we remain Reading’s only independent news sourceānever accepting donations or outside funding. Every aspect has been personally funded by my wife Amanda and me.
In fact, we go the extra mile in the opposite direction: we offer any Reading-related business the chance to advertise for free once a month. To learn more about that opportunity, please click here.

On the topic of our AI Recaps: since February 2025, we’ve provided coverage for every single broadcast meeting in Readingāand then some. That includes all meetings aired on RCTV (over 185 of them), plus additional ones from the MWRA, CPA, and MassDOT. If you ever miss a meeting and want a quick 5-minute summary, here’s the direct link to our full archive for easy access going forward. We’re currently developing an enhanced Version 3 format that will automatically incorporate relevant documents and images from each meeting, but it will take a little more time to perfect.
In terms of Our Top 3 most viewed articles of 2025, they are listed below in order. You’ll spot a clear themeāall three focused on exciting new businesses arriving in Reading! This shows that uplifting, positive stories can spark real reader interest without resorting to sensationalist or negative clickbait. Our 1st place article, which also happened to shatter the single day site visit record of 2,791 previously held by the Town Meeting Trash Carts Approval post is:

When it comes to videos, Facebook recently implemented a new policy that automatically removes live streams after 30 days. As a result, we’ve unfortunately lost precise view count data for many of our older videos across all platforms. That said, based on our recollections, the drone footage of the 4th of July Fireworks display easily exceeded 10,000 views, while our drone overview of the MBTA turn-back track location did even better.
Looking ahead to 2026, we plan to keep delivering more of what you’ve come to rely on: expanded AI recaps, fresh and exclusive articles, plus follow-up coverage on the businesses mentioned earlier once they openāalong with all the other exciting developments.
As always, this year-end post wraps up the same way it has in previous years: with a heartfelt thank you to Reading. Thank you for visiting our site day after day and, more importantly, for engaging with everything our wonderful town has to offer.
Happy New Year Reading! Onward to 2026!
