Save the date! Reading celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the RMHS Performing Arts Center.
Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA—Mark your calendar to come together as a community and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 19, 2026.
The celebration begins at 9:30 am with a community breakfast provided by Reading’s Public Schools. Join us to meet representatives from local organizations and check out artwork created by students. The inspirational and uplifting program begins at 10 am with musical performances, student presentations, and a special keynote address.
If your organization is interested in having a table at the PAC (Performing Arts Center), or if you’d like to volunteer, please contact the Office of Equity & Social Justice, oesj@readingma.gov.
The event location is wheelchair accessible and ASL translators are available on request.
