A Message of Gratitude

To the Residents of Reading and to our Veterans,

I want to extend my deepest thanks to all who joined us last week in honoring our nation’s heroes. Your presence at our Veterans Day ceremony made the day truly special. Seeing our community come together to recognize and celebrate those who have served fills me with pride and gratitude.

To our Veterans, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering devotion to our country. It is my greatest honor to serve as your Veterans’ Service Officer.

A sincere thank you to the Reading Parks Department for the outstanding care and attention given to Memorial Park and the beautiful display of flags that provide such a fitting tribute to our Veterans. Your efforts ensure that our ceremonies are held in a place that reflects the respect our community holds for those who served.

I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Reading Facilities Department for always stepping up to assist the Department of Veterans Services—especially for providing the use of their van and helping transport and setting up chairs for the event. Your teamwork and support make a tremendous difference.

A special thank you to Amanda Beatrice for her invaluable help in putting together this year’s Veterans Day program. Your dedication and attention to detail helped make the ceremony meaningful and seamless.

My gratitude also goes out to the Reading Memorial High School Choir for their beautiful voices that lifted our spirits and filled the morning with song. Your performance was truly inspiring.

A sincere thank you to the Reading Police Department Color Guard, your participation in our Veterans Day celebration is always appreciated, and as always, you stood tall and looked sharp. Thank you for your continued dedication and professionalism.

Finally, to my co-workers, thank you for your continued encouragement and support of these events. Your help behind the scenes never goes unnoticed.

If I have forgotten anyone, please accept my humble apologies. I wish to thank one and all for your participation in this year’s Veterans Day celebration.

To everyone in Reading, thank you for showing up, for caring, and for honoring our Veterans with such heartfelt respect. You made this Veterans Day a day to remember.

With gratitude and respect,

William “Will” Valliere
Veterans’ Service Officer
