🔥 August 2014: Reading Mourns Local Firefighter

On August 6, 2014, Reading mourned the loss of firefighter Robert “Bobby” Potter, a 25-year veteran of the Reading Fire Department, who passed away unexpectedly. A memorial service at the First Congregational Church drew hundreds, and the department honored him with a dedicated plaque, reflecting his deep impact on the community.
