Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA—Winter may be sticking around, but at the library, we’re getting ready for spring. Have a look at what’s happening in the next few weeks and join us.
- On February 11, a three-part series with Gardens by Demetra kicks off. You’ll learn about native plants & pollinators, explore the benefits of indoor gardening and find ways to make your garden feed you (and not the bunnies).
- In the Children’s Room, Plant Lab (for grades 3-5) tackles some seed planting and, eventually, transplanting to garden beds.
- Beginning in March, get ready for Random Acts of Art to break out around town. For kids ages 6-11, we’ll meet to create and share art outdoors!
- Our Library of Things is growing with new items to help you get your hands into gardening outside and indoors.
- It’s easier than ever to find highlights from our collection on nature, health and sustainability – now displayed on the main floor.
- Have you spotted the green additions to our library? Between the bookshelves, you’ll find some new leafy friends specially chosen to make your library time more enjoyable.
