Celebrating its 45th year of Music, Visual Art, and Theater, Creative Arts is kicking off its First Annual PumpkinFest Family Festival and Fundraiser on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 5:00-7:00 pm at Creative Arts, 25 Woburn Street in Reading. We are making this a new tradition in Reading!

We invite the Reading community and surrounding towns and communities to this exciting event. There will be Halloween and Fall themed activities, games, and events, such as Halloween Arts & Crafts, Face Painting, a Best Halloween Costume Contest, Best Pumpkin Contest (carved or decorated), food and music!

Participate in our Pumpkinfest Raffle: buy tickets baskets & gifts from Boston Celtics tickets, a Gloucester AirBnB home, Whitelam Books, the Umbrella Stage Company and Gloucester Stage Company theater tickets, The Chocolate Truffle, Cupcake City, Everything But The Dog, and more!

The Best Pumpkin contestants can drop off their entries to the Creative Arts office starting Friday, October 27, between 3-6pm, or on Saturday, October 28 between 10am-5pm. PLEASE NO CANDLES. We will provide LED lights. All pumpkins will be on display in our Jack O’Lantern Pumpkin Patch under the Big Sanborn Street Tree. Contestants must be present when the winner is announced at 6 pm at the Pumpkin Patch!

The Halloween Costume Parade will take place in the Guild Theater downstairs at Creative Arts at 6:30 pm (adult, teen, child categories). Contestants must be present. Winners will be announced live. All contestants are encouraged to be creative, spooky, over-the-top, thematic, artistic, but mostly, to have fun!

Pumpkinfest is free and open to the public regardless of the weather. All are welcome.

We also invite local businesses, clubs, families, schools, and organizations to be involved in 2 different ways:
