The Select Board will be meeting tonight in the Select Board meeting room at Town Hall during their regularly scheduled time of 7PM. Prior to that though, they have two earlier meetings. The first at 5:45PM in the Berger Room of Town Hall for an Executive Session. As outlined on the agenda, it is utilizing Purpose 3 of the OML guidelines to Discuss litigation strategy with respect to Good v. Reading. No other information was provided.

The second meeting at 6:00PM in the Select Board room is a joint meeting with RMLD. That meeting is slated to interview members of the public who applied to fill the vacant RMLD Board of Commissioners seat of John Stempeck, who resigned back in May. There is no information in the current RMLD or Select Board packet outlining how many applicants there were. Their appointment will last until the April 2024 election.

Moving on to the regularly scheduled 7:00PM agenda, some highlights include: the board hearing from RMHS graduate, Autumn Hendrickson, about her research at the National Archives in St. Louis, MO. The board will receive a demonstration of the Construction Tracker, which was requested by board member Christopher Haley, as one of the town manager goals for this year. There is no information in the packet regarding this item but in previous meetings, it was referenced as page on the town’s website that shows all of the current and upcoming construction projects in town. Lastly, the board will have a discussion regarding a Public Forum on a potential Dog Park. The complete agenda is below:

  • 7:00 Overview of Meeting
  • 7:05 Public Comment
  • 7:15 SB Liaison & Town Manager Reports
  • 7:30 Autumn Hendrickson Book Presentation
  • 8:00 Discussion on Special Committee for Charter Review
  • 8:20 Demo of Construction Tracker
  • 8:40 Vote to Approve 91 Green Street Driveway Width Waiver
  • 9:00 Presentation from Assessor on FY25 Tax rate
  • 9:30 Discuss Public Forum on Dog Park
  • 9:45 Discuss Future Agendas
  • 9:50 Approve Meeting Minutes
