Reading’s first Director of Equity and Social Justice is transitioning out of her role effective August 4th. In an email sent earlier today to her Partners and Allies for Inclusive Reading (PAIR) group, Dr. Chatterjee wrote “What an amazing journey this has been! I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you all, getting to know this spirited community and am hopeful and optimistic about the future of community building and inclusion work in Reading!”
Dr. Chatterjee began her newly created role as the Director for Equity & Social Justice back in March 2022. Previously she worked at Opus Search Partners and received her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
After this Wednesday, Library Director Amy Lannon, will temporarily be in charge of organizing PAIR meetings going forward, the group Dr. Chatterjee formed in June of 2022.
