A staple in Reading’s community and book-ending the old Green Tomato, Nick’s Dry Cleaners will close this Tuesday the 23rd. Citing the potential demolition of the building for a 40R development as the reason for the closure. The note inside, that we will post below, references their hours and where to pick up any clothes should anyone miss their deadline:

Dear Customers/Friends,

We thank you for your past business and support. And so much with love.

Unfortunately, Nick’s Dry Cleaners will be permanently closing on May 23rd. The last day for drop-off is May 17, 2023. Any items left after we close, please visit and pick up your cleanings at:

The Dry Cleaners, 274 Main Street Reading (next to Domino’s Pizza)

We recommend “The Dry Cleaners” with 30+ years of experience.

Pick ups only Monday May 22nd and Tuesday May 23rd from 8AM – 1PM
