February 9th Election Update Reading, MA
SHARE

Town Clerk, Laura Gemme, has provided a sixth update for all of the open seats in the April 4, 2023 election. We will provide updates every Thursday until the ballot is finalized as nomination papers are not official until returned and certified by the Town Clerk and Board of Registrars.

14 new nomination papers were taken out this week, the same number as last week with no additions to the major boards or committees. 40 candidates had their signatures certified this week including Brian Curry, Michael Terry and Monette Dugas Verrier for the Board of Library Trustees and Robert Coulter for the RMLD. 44 individuals have not yet returned their nomination papers with a deadline of 5PM on February 14th.

*Update 6:30PM, a second email was sent with the only change being Michael D. Wick of Emerson Street having pulled papers for the Board of Library Trustees. That makes 5 candidates for the (2) 3-year positions.
