“Festival of Trees fundraiser powers $40,000 in grants for Reading teachers and students“
The Reading Education Foundation was featured during a Community Spotlight at the last School Committee meeting, where representatives highlighted the organization’s work and presented a $40,000 check in support of Reading Public Schools.
Foundation board members Megan Fidler-Carey, Emily James, Krista Macari, and Rajwinder Kaur were among those who addressed the committee, outlining the nonprofit’s ongoing efforts to fund innovative classroom initiatives and enrichment opportunities across the district.
During the presentation, the foundation formally presented the School Committee with a $40,000 contribution raised through its fundraising efforts.
