During last nights Select Board meeting, one of the only votes to actually take place, was to execute an employment agreement with Matt Kraunelis as Reading’s Town Manager. The board voted unanimously 4-0 to appoint Matt as the new Town Manager. After the board gave their remarks, Matt addressed the board and room:
Thank you to the board, to all the residents, to the employees, to my family. It it’s been a big moment for me, it was a little bit of a process, but I’m use to that. I look forward to help build a strong foundation here in Reading for the last 9 years and I hope to build also a bright future and I think Reading does have a bright future and I’m ecstatic to be a part of it. Thank you everybody.

And with that, Matt Kraunelis is no longer the acting Town Manager but the official Town Manager. The terms of his agreement are currently not available on the towns website and we will update this article when it’s been uploaded. The full meeting can be seen below.
