On Saturday afternoon, the Reading Rockets Field Hockey varsity girls team advanced to the MIAA Division 2 State Championship Final 4! The Canton Bulldogs got off to an early 1-0 lead in the second quarter but Reading would tie it up 1-1 by the end of that quarter with a goal by Libby Quinn. The 3rd and 4th quarters were predominantly controlled by the Rockets with Canton only getting past the 50 yard line a handful of times. As time ticked away, Reading would have a chance to win it on a penalty shot but was unsuccessful and the game would head into overtime.
