Greetings Downtown Business Community,
I want to share an important update regarding the Paid Parking System (Kiosks and Pay by Phone) at the Upper Municipal and Brande Court Lots.
Due to delays in the shipping of kiosk equipment, we have decided to postpone the implementation of the paid parking system to mid-January 2024, weather pending.Β
There is an understandable learning curve with the system, and although it represents an improvement to parking for patrons of businesses throughout the downtown, we want to ensure that the busy holiday shopping season occurs without a hitch.
We look forward to implementing the system in January, and we appreciate your patience as we move through the hoops of installing Readingβs first ever paid parking system.
