To celebrate Reading Recap’s 1 year anniversary\, we will be having a replica of the DeLorean Time Machine from Back to the Future at this years Fall Street Faire on September 10th from 12-5pm. \nThis isn’t just any old DeLorean\, it’s the exact one that was used on Good Morning America earlier this month for the Back to the Future Musical happening in New York as well as the one in our thumbnail for this post. The public will be able to see and take pictures with the car which will be outside Town Hall on the cobblestone parking lot area. \nFor 3 lucky people though\, you will actually be able to sit inside and have your picture taken! To be entered into the contest\, all you have to do is comment on this post if you are viewing it from our website. If you are on Facebook\, you simply have to like and comment on this post OR the event one that will be listed there. Doing it in multiple places will increase your chances of winning as well! No purchase necessary. \nWe’ll pick 3 lucky winners\, 48hrs beforehand from all of the signups. All you have to do is be there during the 1hr window we provide at the Fall Street Faire. We wish we could have everyone sit inside and take pictures but the car is extremely fragile from all of the replica movie equipment. \nThank you to the Reading community for an incredible year. The program will feature community speakers\, RMHS student choir\, and dance performances by Ammaya and Area 51. In addition\, a Pop-Up Market with several black-owned businesses will offer shopping options for clothing\, organic products\, plants\, jewelry\, and more. Local human rights groups and nonprofits will have tables with lots of information and interactive children’s activities. All that shopping and celebrating is hungry work\, and you’ll find delicious options from Chez Rafiki’s Halal and Mediterranean and Work Hard Eat Good Jamaican food. There will also be a Beer Garden with Brockton Beer Company and White Lion Brewing Company. \n\n\n\nAttendees should park at the Upper Haven Parking Lot and along Woburn Street. Spillover into the Brande Court lot is also recommended. There will be designated sitting spaces\, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or other seating arrangements. \n\n\n\nThe Juneteenth event is sponsored by OESJ\, the Town of Reading\, and the Reading Public Library.
