They outcompete native plants and provide no value to native animals\, birds\, and insects. \nPulling buckthorn is easy and rewarding! This event is open to people of ALL AGES. October 18th from 9am – 1pm. \nRemember to bring: Long pants\, Long shirt\, Work gloves\, Bug spray\, Water \nLeave at home: Power tools\, herbicides\, or chemicals – leave that to the professionals! \nSignups are in 1 hour blocks – feel free to sign up for as little or as much of the day as you’d like! \nThis work will be rain or shine (except in the event of dangerous weather).” \nLocation:\nDrive down Strout Ave and enter the compost area.
