DESCRIPTION:Reading Community Singers ~ First Rehearsal ~ Come Join Us! \nMark your calendar! The Reading Community Singers is pleased to announce our Fall season will begin with our First Rehearsal on Tuesday\, August 29\, 2023. \nSign-In on August 29 will start at 7:00 PM\, with Rehearsal to follow at 7:30. Registration is open for the first three rehearsals – try RCS out for up to three weeks before joining! While RCS does NOT require Auditions\, our Members must love to sing\, be able to match pitch and carry a tune\, and be committed to attending rehearsals. We’re open to all ages and backgrounds – from 18 years to Senior Citizens. RCS is one of the longest running non-audition choruses in the United States. \nRehearsals are held every Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at Old South United Methodist Church\, 6 Salem St.\, Reading MA. \nOur Concert “Holiday Party” will be presented on Saturday\, December 9 at 7:30 PM. Music will include “Last Christmas”\, “Sleigh Ride”\, and “93 Million Miles” (as recorded by Jason Mraz)\, with Beth Mosier ~ Artistic Director\, and Joe Beninati ~ Accompanist. \nJoin RCS for a fantastic time and help us celebrate the Holiday Season with the gift of music. DESCRIPTION:Travel the world without leaving your house! Around the World in 80 Days is our winter reading program for kids and families. Pick up your reading passport\, decide where you want to visit\, and start reading! \nThis program is for all ages and is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Reading Public Library. The challenge is to read 7 books in 80(ish) days\, and have each book be about a different continent. You can read\, listen to an audiobook\, listen to music\, or watch a movie that takes place on different continents. \nFor more information and to see our book lists\, follow the link below\, and then stop by to browse our continental displays. Passports are available in person at the Children’s desk\, or click the passport image on our webpage link to download and print your own at home. \nEvery time you visit a country\, we will stamp the passport. Once you finish all 7\, pick up your prize at the Children’s Desk! Have fun exploring and learning this winter.
