The course will teach you how to apply the MHFA Action Plan including: Assess for risk of suicide or harm\, Listen nonjudgmentally\, Give reassurance and information\, Encourage appropriate professional help and Encourage self-help and other support strategies.\nThe instructors\, Erica McNamara & Krystal Mellonakos-Garay\, are credentialled through the National Council on Mental Wellbeing for Mental Health First Aid USA. Join us for all 4 sessions to become certified as a first aider on November 9\, 16\, 30 and December 7 from 6-8 pm at the Reading Public Library.\nRegistration is required and spaces limited.
