DESCRIPTION:Travel the world without leaving your house! Around the World in 80 Days is our winter reading program for kids and families. Pick up your reading passport\, decide where you want to visit\, and start reading! \nThis program is for all ages and is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Reading Public Library. The challenge is to read 7 books in 80(ish) days\, and have each book be about a different continent. You can read\, listen to an audiobook\, listen to music\, or watch a movie that takes place on different continents. \nFor more information and to see our book lists\, follow the link below\, and then stop by to browse our continental displays. Passports are available in person at the Children’s desk\, or click the passport image on our webpage link to download and print your own at home. \nEvery time you visit a country\, we will stamp the passport. Once you finish all 7\, pick up your prize at the Children’s Desk! Have fun exploring and learning this winter.

DESCRIPTION:We all seek meaningful relationships and opportunities for growth and progress in our lives. Adults with developmental disabilities including ASD and I/DD also benefit from the opportunity to express themselves and be heard and understood. This series of programs is designed for adults ages 22+ with disabilities\, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)\, and intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). They are not respite programs; caregivers are required to attend. \nCome join us in exploring your inner artist in fun and creative ways with local artist Susan McFarlane of McFarlane Arts.
